What is FSDD and how can it benefit my company?
ADP's Full Service Direct DepositSM (FSDD) is an electronic employee payment option processed through one of ADP's partner banks. Through the use
of direct deposit FSDD enables your company to save time by eliminating the
need to reconcile checks against your payroll account. You can also reduce the
amount of time your employees spend waiting in bank lines during business hours
on payday and give them faster access to their wages.

What is the major difference between ADP's FSDD and my bank's direct deposit service?
ADP is your single-source vendor for direct deposit service and support. If
you use your local bank, you will need to coordinate inquiries regarding ADP
and your bank. Employers typically find that setting up Full Service Direct
Deposit with ADP is an easier, less complicated process.

What must my company do in order to begin using FSDD?
Once you have been approved for Full Service Direct Deposit (FSDD), the following guidelines and procedures will apply:
- All employees requesting direct deposit must complete the enrollment form.
"Click
here" to download the Stop Payment Request and Indemnification form.
- Once ADP processes the forms, we will test each account by issuing a zero
balance transaction to ensure accuracy. Every time you set up an employee
on direct deposit, you must allow time for this "pre-note" process, which
typically takes one payroll period.
- ADP will notify you if there are any exceptions in the pre-note process.
If there is a problem with an account number, you must make a correction on the next payroll. If the account number is not immediately corrected, the
direct deposit process may not be complete and the employee may not be paid
in a timely fashion. Your employee will continue to receive a live check until
we have successfully passed the pre-note process.
- You must keep each original employee enrollment form on file as long as
your employee is using FSDD, and for two years afterward.
- Contact you ADP representative upon receipt of your payroll if you want
to delete or reverse a single direct deposit item or the entire payroll's
direct deposits. The deletion or reversal fee per account number, per individual
item is available on request.
- In order to ensure that your employee' funds are deposited in a timely manner,
we recommend that you process your payroll at least three business days prior
to check date.
-
When will an employee's account receive wages that have been direct deposited?
While it can depend on when the employee's bank posts transactions - whether
at the opening of business or at end-of-day processing - the following typically
applies:
- For payrolls processed three banking days prior to check date, wages are
posted to the employee's account and available for withdrawal on check date.
- For payrolls processed two banking days or less prior to check date, wages
may be posted to the employee's account on check date, but the employee may
not have access to them until the end of the day or next day.
-
How many accounts can an employee designate for direct deposit?
If you use ADP's EasyPay SM product for emerging businesses, your employees may designate a maximum of 10 accounts for direct deposit of their payroll. If you use any of ADP's AutoPay SM products your employees may designate up to three accounts. If you are not sure whether you use EasyPay or
AutoPay, contact your Client Service Representative (CSR) or Key Account Manager (KAM).
